For one of our major clients PAS provided the complete control system for a newly installed Gin blending plant. The system includes the intake
system from road tankers, the storage of the raw materials, the blending and storage of the final product and the supply of finished product to the bottling line.
This included the engineering, design and commissioning of the MCC and the supply and configuration of the Siemens S7 400 PLC system complete with all Ex and safe area remote I/O using Profibus. The whole system is controlled through an iFix SCADA system through industrial Ethernet, and the integration in an existing iFix SCADA network

-PAS engineered and implemented the replacement of a cabled network with a wireless system for an overhead mobile conveying system for the distribution of compost in composting tunnels. The system is controlled through three Allen Bradley PLC's. These PLC's were connected through a DH485 network connected through a cable reel. Due to the difficult environmental conditions, this system was very prone to failures. Replacing the cable reel with a radio network provided a reliable solution.

-In a waste water treatment plant PAS installed an SMS alarm system to provide the operator with alarm messages from the SCADA system directly to their mobile phone. The alarm messages are sent when selected alarms occur, and can provide the operators with live information onto their mobile phones. In this plant PAS also implemented automatic reporting of the performance of the plant including the automatic distribution of the reports via email to all relevant personnel.

-On another site we provided the complete control system for the storage and out-loading of wet grains. This system is controlled through a Eurotherm T940 controller, integrated into their existing Eurotherm Alin network. The field connections are achieved through Allen Bradley Flex remote I/O and ABB VSD's through a Profibus network. This system is operated through a site wide Fix32/T3500 SCADA system.
